The service
A greedy surprise: Student's Hostel revolutionary philosophy that wants hostels as low cost housing and free guest services. The newest of the Restaurant "della Rocca" is a reality for guests of the hostel, always evolving, always prepared to meet and overcome challenges that are posed every day by the evolution of taste.

The Dining Room
The restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere, in a modern and elegant style that pays attention to the smallest details, from the interior to the kitchen, from the food presentation to the service Set in an old style city building, the dining room harmoniously combines with the demand of the finest modern dining.

Food
The food, basically from the city culinary art, is constantly revisited by our Chef Bollito, who always combines creativity and tradition.

We will offer you a wide range of food from appetizers to desserts: all products are of the finest quality You’ll always find fresh meat and fish and seasonal vegetables; we use only fresh and seasonal ingredients, selected with passion and care: the same we use to choose our suppliers.

Hors D'oeuvre

  • Ferrara typical fritters with cured meats and cheese.
  • Small pumpkin pie with asparagus sauce and dry chicory
  • Sicilian Tris
  • Soutê of Molluscs
  • Vegetables Caponata with  Chickpea Fritters, cheese and figs

 

 

First Dish

  • Baked macaroni in  ferrarese way
  • Home made Cappellacci Pasta filled with pumpkin in tomato soup or butter and sage
  • Rice with shrimps and apples
  • Spaghetti Pasta with sea food
  • Passetelli or tortelli in stock
  • Asparagus soupe with canapes
  • Bucatini  with sardine and  fennel
  • Sicilian Pesto with shrimps

Second Dish

  • Ferrarese Sausages with tomato soup and mashed potatoes
  • Beef with racket and parmesan cheese flavoured with balsamic vinegar soup
  • Shank of pork cooked with nero d’avola wine and baked potatoes
  • Mediterranean Fish Chowder
  • Fillet Sea bass au gratin

The restaurant is provided with a wide range of wine of the best selected labels; our staff is ready to help you choose the best wine – food combination. Particular attention is paid to Sicilian wines, but you’ll also find the best known national labels.
